Justdan International has announced Dinghai: The Ocean Pillar, an action RPG Roguelike coming to PC via Steam in 2026. The game is set within the mythical world of the "Classic of Mountains and Seas," where ancient gods, demons, and forgotten powers collide. Dinghai brings that world to life through an ink-wash visual style, fluid dual-weapon combat, and a Roguelike structure built around an epic narrative.

A Soul That Refused to Stay Dead

The protagonist is the Abyssal Dragon, was once a legendary general under Emperor Yan. He was stripped of his name, exiled, and killed in battle. For centuries, only a fragment of his soul endured, adrift in a world reshaped by floods and divine war, waiting for death in despair.
His return comes through a forbidden curse. At the moment of Yi’s death, the godson of the flood hero Yu the Great, the Abyssal Dragon seizes Yi and takes control of his body. Now the legendary general walks the mortal world once again, carrying centuries of unsung regret that he is determined to resolve.

Dual Weapon Combat System

Bring two weapons instead of one to the battlefield. Combat in Dinghai is built around the freedom to switch between two weapon types at any point in battle. A total of five weapon types are offered, with three melee and two ranged weapons to choose from freely. Equip one melee and one ranged weapon before entering a run to maximize versatility, or go all in for either melee or ranged weapons for extreme builds. Build unique synergies, adapting your battle style as the situation shifts. No two runs through the mythic landscape play the same way: new ability combinations, new enemies drawn from ancient legend, new choices that compound across the run.

The "Shan Hai Jing," also known as "Classic of Mountains and Seas," is one of the oldest surviving works of Chinese literature, cataloguing a world filled with fantastical creatures and gods whose conflicts shaped the fate of civilization. Written across centuries by unknown hands, one of the most iconic myth stories recorded was the story of Yu the Great, who spent years battling a catastrophic flood to hold civilization together. That world, in all its strangeness, is where Dinghai takes place.
